Will any patient data be lost during the migration?

Loss prevention is engineered in: every record is counted and reconciled between source and target, discrepancies are tracked to resolution, and nothing is destroyed until validation and retention requirements are satisfied. The source extract is preserved until you sign off.

How long does an EHR data migration take?

A single-practice migration typically runs six to twelve weeks end to end; multi-site or hospital migrations run longer, driven mostly by mapping complexity and validation cycles. The blueprint phase gives you a reliable timeline early.

Can you migrate scanned documents and images as well as structured data?

Yes. Documents, PDFs, and media move alongside structured data, with correct patient and encounter linkage in the target system. Imaging held in DICOM archives can be migrated or connected to the new environment as part of the same program.

How is PHI protected during the migration?

Under a BAA, with encryption in transit and at rest, isolated staging environments, minimum-necessary access, complete audit logging, and documented destruction of temporary data after go-live — the same controls we apply across all of our healthcare work.

Do you support phased go-lives and parallel running?

Yes. We support big-bang cutovers, phased rollouts by site or specialty, and parallel-run periods with delta synchronization keeping both systems consistent until you are ready to switch the old one off.
