Recruitment & Employment Fraud Awareness
Protecting Job Seekers and Prospective Teammates
Recruitment fraud is an increasingly prevalent scam where unauthorized individuals pose as Woltrio recruiters, hiring managers, or executives to solicit personal information or money from job seekers. These scammers often use popular job boards, messaging apps (Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, Google Chat), or spoofed email addresses to conduct fake interviews and extend counterfeit job offers.
- Zero Candidate Fees Policy: Woltrio NEVER requests payment, application fees, training deposits, equipment fees, or software license costs from candidates at any stage of the hiring process.
- No Home Office / Check Schemes: We will never send you a cashier's check or wire transfer to purchase home office equipment, computers, or mobile devices from an 'approved vendor'. Any request to deposit a check and return funds is fraudulent.
- Formal Structured Interviews: Woltrio never conducts interviews or extends employment offers solely over text-based messaging platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, or SMS.
- Domain Verification: Legitimate hiring communications will always come from a verified address ending in @woltrio.com. We never use free email services (e.g., @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com) or misleading lookalike domains (such as @woltrio-careers.com, @woltrio-jobs.org, or @woltrio-tech.net).
- Sensitive Personal Information: We will never ask for your Social Security Number (SSN), national ID number, tax identifiers, or banking details over unencrypted email or chat before a formal, verified offer has been executed through our secure HR portal.
If someone claiming to represent Woltrio asks for payment, sends you an unverified check, or demands immediate personal banking details, cease communication immediately and report it to hr@woltrio.com and security@woltrio.com.

Payment, Invoice & Wire Fraud Prevention
Protecting Clients, Partners, and Suppliers
Business Email Compromise (BEC) and invoice redirection schemes target organizations by falsifying payment requests or spoofing accounts to redirect vendor payments. Woltrio enforces strict accounting controls to safeguard financial relationships with our clients and service partners.
- Mandatory Dual-Channel Verbal Verification: Woltrio will NEVER instruct you to alter bank remittance details, wiring instructions, or payee accounts via email alone. Any change in banking instructions must be verified verbally with your dedicated Woltrio account manager via a pre-established, trusted phone number.
- Authorized Invoicing: Genuine Woltrio invoices are delivered from authenticated corporate addresses and clearly reference your formal Service Agreement (MSA/SOW), project milestones, and designated purchase order numbers.
- Prohibited Payment Methods: Woltrio never requests payments via cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT), prepaid debit cards, retail gift cards, or peer-to-peer personal payment platforms (Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, PayPal Friends & Family).
- Secure Escrow Integration: For designated milestone engagements, Woltrio collaborates with licensed escrow partners (such as Escrow.com) through verified transaction IDs displayed in your client portal.
Always pause and verify: If you receive an urgent request claiming our bank accounts have changed or demanding payment to an unfamiliar beneficiary, do NOT release funds. Immediately contact your account executive and notify security@woltrio.com.

Brand Spoofing, Phishing & Fake Contracts
Identifying Impersonation of Woltrio Leadership
Bad actors may copy Woltrio logos, executive photographs, and publicly available marketing copy to build deceptive landing pages, fake subcontractor agreements, or phishing messages designed to harvest credentials or malware.
- Inspect Email Headers & SPF/DKIM/DMARC: Look beyond the display name in your email client. Verify that the actual sender email address ends precisely in @woltrio.com and that SPF/DKIM cryptographic signatures are valid.
- Verify Corporate Contracts: All formal consulting agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) are transmitted through authorized digital signature platforms (such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign) authenticated by authorized Woltrio signatories.
- Lookalike URLs: Attackers often register typographical variations of our name (e.g., w0ltrio.com, woltrio-tech.com, woltriocorp.com). Always check the browser address bar for https://www.woltrio.com.
- No Unsolicited Software Downloads: Woltrio will never send unsolicited executable files (.exe, .dmg, .bat), macro-enabled spreadsheets, or encrypted zip archives requesting immediate installation.

Practical Checklist: How to Verify Authenticity
Three Steps Before You Respond or Transact
Before sharing information, signing documentation, or processing any transaction involving Woltrio, follow these three steps:
- Step 1: Check the Sender Identity: Confirm that the email address is spelled correctly and ends with @woltrio.com. If received via LinkedIn or social media, ensure the profile is linked to the official Woltrio company page (clutch.co/profile/woltrio).
- Step 2: Authenticate Out-of-Band: Call our official switchboard at +1 (628) 207-1947 or message your established account executive directly. Never use phone numbers, QR codes, or links supplied inside a suspicious message.
- Step 3: Consult Our Security Team: Forward suspicious messages, attachments, or screenshots as an RFC 822 attachment to security@woltrio.com for rapid forensic validation.
