    Universal Access by Design

    At Woltrio, we believe that technology should empower every individual without barrier. Accessibility is not an afterthought or a compliance checkbox; it is a foundational pillar of our engineering culture and design system. Whether visitors are navigating with screen readers, motor-assistive switches, voice control software, screen magnifiers, or customized color contrast settings, our goal is to deliver an intuitive, dignified, and friction-free experience.

    We engineer our web applications following the four core WCAG principles: Perceivable (information must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive), Operable (user interface components and navigation must be operable via diverse input methods), Understandable (information and UI operation must be clear and predictable), and Robust (content must be reliably interpreted by a wide variety of user agents and assistive technologies).

    Accessibility Measures Implemented Across the Site

    Specific Technical Controls in Our Design System

    In accordance with our strict design guide (DESIGN_GUIDE.md) and modern web standards, we have integrated the following accessibility measures into the Woltrio website:

    • Semantic HTML5 Structure: Every page is built with appropriate semantic landmarks (<header>, <main>, <nav>, <section>, <article>, <footer>) and follows a logical, sequential heading hierarchy (h1 through h4) without skipping levels.
    • Visible Focus Rings & Tab Order: All interactive elements (links, buttons, accordion triggers, form inputs, language selectors) feature high-visibility focus indicators (focus-visible:ring-2 focus-visible:ring-orange-500) and maintain a predictable, intuitive keyboard tab sequence.
    • Strict Color Contrast Compliance: All text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast thresholds against its background: normal body text maintains at least a 4.5:1 ratio (achieved via text-foreground/80 and text-foreground/60), while large display headlines and graphical UI boundaries exceed 3.0:1. Inactive labels or decorative lines never carry critical readable text.
    • Dual Theme Contrast (Light & Dark): Semantic OKLCH tokens ensure that both dark and light modes maintain full legibility and contrast compliance without relying on arbitrary hex overrides.
    • Alternative Text & Media Descriptions: Informational graphics and images carry descriptive alt attributes. Purely decorative elements (such as background grain, ambient gradients, and icon glyphs paired with visible text) are tagged with aria-hidden="true" to prevent screen reader clutter.
    • Screen Reader & ARIA Best Practices: Dynamic UI controls (such as accordion FAQs and dropdown navigation) explicitly expose state via aria-expanded, aria-controls, and aria-haspopup attributes. Headings wrap interactive button triggers rather than vice versa.
    • Sensory Preferences & Reduced Motion: The site natively respects the user's operating system preference for reduced motion (@media (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce) and useReducedMotion()). When enabled, scroll-driven choreographies, marquees, and parallax effects degrade to clean, static, readable views.
    • Responsive Zoom & Typography Scaling: The site utilizes fluid, relative typography (rem and clamp units). Users can scale the browser viewport up to 200% without experiencing loss of functionality, overlapping content, or broken layouts.

    Assistive Technology & Multi-Browser Compatibility

    Our digital platform is designed and routinely tested for compatibility with modern browsers and assistive tools, including:

    • Screen Readers: Tested with NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) on Windows, JAWS (Job Access With Speech) on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android.
    • Desktop Browsers: Optimized for the latest two major releases of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
    • Input Mechanisms: Fully functional with standard keyboards, trackballs, sip-and-puff switches, and speech-to-text navigation software.

    Woltrio ensures digital accessibility through a multi-tiered evaluation methodology:

    • Automated Audits: Continuous automated testing using axe-core, Google Lighthouse, and Pa11y integrated into our development lifecycle to catch regressions in color contrast, missing labels, and structural markup.
    • Manual Keyboard Traversals: Comprehensive manual testing by engineering staff to verify tab traps, focus retention, modal dialog dismissals, and skip links.
    • Assistive Device Testing: Routine audits conducted using native screen readers to verify pronunciation, aria live announcements, and landmark jump efficiency.

    Known Limitations & Technical Roadmap

    Transparency Regarding Complex Visual Components

    Despite our best efforts to ensure universal accessibility across all marketing pages, some interactive moments may present limitations for certain assistive technologies. We actively maintain accessible fallbacks:

    • 3D WebGL Morphing Canvas: The 3D orb featured on our homepage hero utilizes WebGL (Three.js/R3F). While visually engaging, canvas elements cannot be natively rendered by screen readers. We label the canvas with aria-hidden="true" and ensure that 100% of the company's messaging, capabilities, and call-to-actions are rendered as standard, accessible semantic text in the DOM.
    • Interactive Case Study Previews: High-density design mockups in our portfolio contain complex imagery. We are continuously adding descriptive long-form case study summaries and transcripts for all visual workflows.
    • Legacy PDF Documentation: Select historical compliance reports and policy agreements are archived in PDF format. If you require any PDF document in an accessible alternative format (such as plain text, HTML, or large print), our team will provide it upon request.
