How we work: nothing upfront, and you own what you pay for
Free scoping and discovery, no upfront payment, and each milestone paid only after you approve it. Below: what you own and when, how we hand over, how we support you after launch, and the EHR integrations we have shipped.

Free to start, paid as you approve
You see a plan and a fixed price before you commit, and you never pay for work you haven't approved.
Free scoping and discovery
After a first call, you get a scope document within 3 business days: a milestone plan with a fixed price for each milestone, plus the risks and assumptions, including HIPAA and integration notes. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If you want an NDA first, we sign it within 24 hours.
No upfront payment
There is nothing to pay to start: no deposit and no retainer.
Pay each milestone after you approve it
We deliver a milestone, you review it, and you pay for it only after you've approved it. The code and IP for that milestone then transfer to you.
Stop at any time
If you decide to stop, you pay only for the milestones you've already approved, and you keep their code. There is no exit fee.
Ownership
What you own, and when
This matches our standard client contract. If your contract says something different, your contract applies.
Your data, from day one
Your production data and any PHI live in your own cloud account from the start. They are yours throughout, and we keep no copies on Woltrio systems.
Your cloud accounts, from day one
Products are deployed in cloud accounts you own; for healthcare clients, your AWS account. You control billing, access and the root credentials.
The code, as each milestone is paid
Ownership of the code delivered in a milestone, including the intellectual property, transfers to you when that milestone is paid.
The repository
During the project the code is kept in Woltrio's GitHub organization. At handover we transfer the repository, with its full history, to your own GitHub.
Our reusable components
Where we reuse our own libraries or templates in your product, you get a permanent licence to use them.

What you get at handover
Everything another team would need to run and extend your product without us.
Your repository
Transferred to your GitHub with its full history. Because the repository becomes yours, no source-code escrow is needed.
Documentation
The documentation needed to set up, deploy, run and extend the system.
Credentials and accounts
All credentials, API keys and third-party accounts created for your product, handed over to you.
Our access removed
We remove our access to your environments and confirm it to you in writing.
Support
After launch
Bugs are on us for 90 days. After that, you choose how much support you need.
90-day warranty
For 90 days after launch, we fix bugs in the work we delivered at no cost.
Monthly support plan
A set number of hours each month, with response times agreed in writing in the plan.
Hourly, when you need it
No plan needed: ask for work when you need it and pay by the hour.
No lock-in
You own the code and the repository, so you can move support to another team at any time.
Integrations
How we integrate with EHRs and health data systems
We connect through each vendor's published APIs and healthcare standards such as FHIR R4.
Agree the data first
We register the integration with the vendor's developer program and agree exactly which data and permissions it needs, and nothing more.
Sandbox before production
We build and test against the vendor's sandbox with synthetic patients, and move to production only with your approval.
Secured and logged
Access goes through the vendor's authorization flow, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and our access is recorded in audit logs in your environment.
